Yeah it will be grayed out until the halo 3 demo is put on the live marketplace. The game doesnt come with halo 3 demo already on it, you have to download it. and then even after downloading it you have to have the crackdown disc in the 360 to play the demo. The option to play the demo will only be available through the crackdown menus, no other way. and it is harder towards the end of the game. I beet it in a day and a half though, just working my way to full stats now. I'm almost there just have about 50 more points on all of the attributes except agility
choch
once you beat the game how do you level up your skills other than finding the agility orbs and doing the driving and rooftop races? I have 4 star ratings in everything except driving, but I beat the game and there is no bad guys left. So how can I max out my shooting and bombing?
lostboyz
i think you gotta play coop or time trials

i also found out if you max something out killing civilians doesn't bring you down anymore

I think I may have killed this game, played 8 hours today, it is very addicting but is over too quickly because of it

the achievements are great, you do something cool sometimes and you get an achievement, seemed to come naturally into the game

I've got about half of the agility markers, and half of the hidden orbs, dunno if i will have the patience to get them all or not

When you select campaign move the single player option to the right so that it says "crimes on" Then just kill enough gang members to get a hit squad after you and unload on them. Works great.

A friend and I beat it through Co-op

My only complaint is we both have extemely fast internet (10mb down 1mb up) and he has (17mb down 3mb up) and it lags

Not like a small ammount of Lag either sometimes it will freeze for 2-3 seconds

Well either way the story is good and its worth purchasing.

I think they released a patch to fix the lag problem. Have you played the game within the last couple days?
lostboyz
i havent tried recently, but it hasnt updated. but seeing as how the actual release isnt till tuesday i cant really complain
GearGuy2001
No Patch yet, Just got done playing it for the evening 433/500 agality and 153/300 hidden orbs so far plus Ive beat the game wink.gif
luther349
i just played the demo it is a nice game. suprising being it was being promted soly on halo 3.
Paperstack.1
There is no patch plus I just finished the game too.

All i'm going to say is that the ending is a disappointment... why do mofos have to make games end like this!?

Still got agility and hidden orbs to get plus maxing out my stats to do
doop
I agree its a good game but it could of been a whole lot bigger. 10 to 12 hours gameplay and all bosses are done 4 stars throughout and 350 agility orbs 124 hidden. perhaps downloadable content will expand this game. good game engine but havok physics looking a bit dated...

luckily for us in the uk it comes out the same day as Final Fantasy XII (friday) so for me at least it will last a whole lot longer laugh.gif
HamSandwhich
So... theres no story to it at all?

There is some type of a story to it, but most of the gameplay is just killing gang members and their bosses. And then once you do that all thats left is to find all the orbs, races, and jump markers. They could've done better with the storyline to the game.

I got full abilities; 473 agility orbs (nearly impossible to find the last ones) and 135 hidden orbs (i can only imagine how hard it'll be to find the last hidden orbs).
monkeyflungpoo
I got 14 orbs left, and like 180ish hidden orbs. I get all excited when I find one of those agility orbs

is co-op worth renewing my xbl subscription?
ProphetOfPain
out of curiosity.. I pre-ordered and went pickup my Crackdown today, but I can't help but wonder about the Halo 3 invite. Wouldn't someone with a backup copy of crackdown that included the Halo 3 on the menu also be able to download and play it?

What code??? It's just grayed out on the menu till it's available. That's my point? I have two original crackdowns right here, no codes... anyone?

The question is irrelevant. If you have a backup, you have the original. Use the original for XBL.
aenarra
So, download the beta its only active in originals?
kmann1414
Is there any xbl besides co-op? Like teams, etc?
j3y q
lets just hope that the back up dont include the key and not to soud like an ass but just purchase the game to get the beta, although i think it would seem logical if you copy the game 1 for 1 it should contian the key and ways the game is good i find my self look for the agailty orgs a lot tho like the one on the ferris wheel was hard for me, good game but like already a 1/3 the way through it sounds kinda short by the way you other who beat it describe
Xombe
Now that the mutes and suspensions have been handed out, take a moment to read the rules.

NO discussion of piracy.
NO discussion of backups on Live.
NO anti-staff posts.
NO "I bought the game so my downloading of 'X' is okay, so screw you!"... we do not care how high your horse is.

Simply put:

Do what you do in real life; we couldn't care less.

Bring your "aren't I cool cause I have the uber-underground skillz that most fourth graders possess" statements and attitude here and get shown the door the hard way.

There is no other xbl except co-op and it is a bit laggy sometimes if you want to play certain people. Hopefully they'll come out with a patch that can fix it.
