I've tried to make a backup by hotswapping, everything worked just like all of the tuts, but when it comes to ssmerger, and burnning, and playing, none of it worked, and I did it just like the tutorial, well.... up until the part with the ssmerger, that part didnt go as smooth as the tutorial, I got all kinds of errors. SO..... what I want to know now is. Has anybody made a succesful copy of their game? and if so, How?, and could you show me your walkthrough? All I want to do is back my games up, and get a little knowledge........also, can it be any kind of dvd drive? I have a dvd +/- burner I used to read with.

First with ssmerger, say no when it ask “Do you want to calculate… and verify online…” (not sure if the database even exist anymore, I never uses that).
It is not a problem if you have the two red fields at the bottom, I have never used the database (always got the two red fields) and it works.
It is not needed for the merge to be done correctly and we do not support the use of such database at XS
