anoobie you have to give me more info than just I enabled it. Which one did you enable? Did you select a position for the enabled widget?
Hey Abe, I'm still using Slate though I haven't installed the newest version yet. I was wondering, how hard/easy would it be to allow custom backgrounds? I'd like to be able to change it up from time to time, such as from interfacelift.com. I doubt this is in the new 0.84 release, but I'll check later just in case. Thanks.

ibemonty2000 you can use custom backgrounds in the version that you are using. This has been in the skin since the first release. You need to go into the skin settings to change the background.

Just found this skin and it looks great but with so little activity I'm wondering if there will be further development or if its dead? With a few minor mods to the home menus it would be a great skin to use with XBMC's new mythTV support. Am amazed that this skin in not attracting more interest.
