version 1.0 of xbox.
soldered xapt3r to motherboard.
Power up and I get 3 blue leds and one flash from red led.
All seems ok at that point.

Add smartxx3, dvd, hd, power, connect to tv...
and I get the WELCOME screen.
However, it says press A to flash bios. Nothing happens.
There is no way to leave the welcome screen.
Complete newbie, but I have searched and have not found this problem in any other post.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hello I am having the same problem, have you been able to find out anything?

Make sure you're using an original Microsoft-made Xbox S Controller. Some of the Linux-based Chip OSes don't like 3rd-party controllers.
