Remember, this is also the guy who apparently didn't get the memo that Resistance wasn't 1080p anymore even past the US launch. Although technically, yes there is an area with massive PS3 shortages: It's called Europe.

There has never been a shortage pf PS3's at least not in the bay area. There have been units sitting on shelves since mid december.

I should invite this guy to my local target where 6 units have been sitting on the shelve for over 3 weeks... Shortages?... yaaaahhhh ok...

They announced last weekend that they have shipped 4 million units but they have only sold 2 million. There is no way there is a shortage.

there are 25 sitting at best buy that havent moved in weeks. there is no demand for the system, any executive that believes otherwise is fuggin confused. To know the truth and still say there are shortages is just plain stupid

Haha well only six fit on the shelve in the cabinet where they keep the PS3's at my target, who knows how many they have in the back...

There actually weren't any PS3's at the Best Buy here when I went to pick up Crackdown last week. But that's the first time I haven't seen any in stock since before Christmas. I've never seen stacks of 25 or anything, but there is usually 4-6 on the shelf.
