Ok, I know this is such a newb thing to ask, but here goes: I just bought a Halo Edition XB off ebay. I've got a black one that's got a few years worth of game saves and other stuff on it. I want to switch the hard drives out between the two, but need help on HOW.
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
Thanks, K dawg1354

If they are both the standard xbox hard drives why would you want to switch them out? You should be able to transfer the game saves onto your new xbox hard drive, no problem.

You mean with a Memory card? I tried but couldn't find one large enough for my files. Oh and let me mention that my black one's disk drive took a nosedive

Unless they're both modded, you won't be swapping anything.
Drive from new box needs unlocking to work on another box, which must be chipped or locked using the eeprom of the original box if the second is a softmod.

how can I transfer the info(game saves, Music) then? Can I use a system link cable? is it pretty difficult to "unlock" it? what about soft modding? or am I up Sh*t Creek?
Again, please excuse my ignorance in the matter.
And Thank you

read up on softmods and modchips and decide which is better for you
