I'm a newbie.

Finally i can connect to internet with dsl line.

I have an adsl-roter wifi NETGEAR DG834G v3,
a notebook asus with lan and wifi
and an xbox with Microsoft wireless adapter MN-740


I have made an infrastructured wifi, the NETGEAR is the router/gateway and the notebook and xbox are connected to it with the wifi..
I connect pc and xbox with wifi and it works great : i exchange files between pc and xbox.

I try to use kay but it doesn't works, but i don't know how kai works, and what parameter i have to set.


I read someting about this and i ask you if is possible to use kai with this infrastructured wifi?

Or i have to connect pc and xbox with ethernet cable?
Or i have to buy another wireless pc card and set my xbox wireless adaptet to "ad hoc" connection?
Or is possibible to connect xbox to my router netgear to do it?

you have to connect the xbox to the computer with a cable .. for the xbox to go straight into the pc you need to use a crossover cable ..

you can also wire the xbox and the pc to the router ..

but if i connect the pc and the xbox wired to the router why i can't connect both two with wifi to the router?

because wifi doesn't work ..

why do you say that it doesn't work, if in this way i excange files between xbox and pc?????

i found that there is an unofficial firmware that it can be modified by the user

can i take kai on it?

in this way can i play online with kai by xbox wireless (without pc) ??

because system link traffic is not 'regular' network traffic and is not IP based .. most wifi cards/routers dismiss the traffic because its not standard, hence the reason kai cannot be wireless ..

we are in a kai forum talking about setting up kai , i never said a regular network wouldn't work wireless (for exchanging files as u call it) .. i have an xbox upstairs at my house thats wireless and i watch TV with it all the time, i don't use it on kai .. im not here to make stuff up .. :]
