I just saw this news article today and was wondering if installing this update will affect any of my backups created using XBC 2.3?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I've looked round the forums and couldn't find any info. I've read some posts that say that previous MS updates via Live haven't affected backups, but the patch detailed in this article seems to be exclusively aimed at homebrew and backups in general.

Bought my console premodded so am not sure what specific firmware was used to flash my drive (is there any way to find this out?), but I know that everything backed up using XBC2.3 works like a charm. I would be pretty upset if the next game i buy screws everything up when i download the latest update so i can play it! Am I worrying about nothing or is this going to get into a firmware war like we see in the PSP..?

interesting article im really not sure what it could have in mind, hopefully it not to major. we'll just have to wait till someone who knows that hardware to see what kind of inpact its going to cause
