According to the wrestling observer newsletter, starting with Backlash W W E is ending brand only pay per views and will now have stars from all three brands on each event.

The reasoning behind the move is the poor buyrates of brand only events as well as UFC becoming incredibly popular as of late.

Good for them, all three shows were just too weak to warrant their own personal ppv,
maybe now they can take the good stuff from each brand and actually put out a good ppv.

And hopefully this year's King of the Ring will actually be a proper King of the Ring, instead of last year's King of the SmackDown! Ring.
