I've been having this problem with XBC that I've searched through the forums and couldn't find anyone with similar problems.

I'm having a problem with Xbox Backup Creator where the Start button under the Read tab is grays out. Any fixes. Thanks so much. I've also attached an image.

hmm the drive seems to be recognizing it.. you try switching modes sometimes on certain games it does that to me, but not on all..

have you look at pinned, and search the options there??

soem info in Tutorial: XBCreator & Imgburn and XBCreator .

Things to look for:
-FW Branding in options must be removed
-connect to sata port on MB (not on 6421 VIA card)

Hi, I am using a samsung Kreon 0.81 drive.

I had the same problem recently but the strange thing was that is was working for me a few weeks ago - what tha!

I traced my steps back and remembered that when I installed my VIA SATA card I decided to plug the dvd drive into the extra IDE slot that it had. So I changed the connection back to the mobo IDE and guess what resulted?

hey look at your box it is set for sector mapper which only works for xbox 1 games, look right where it says this is not a 1 to 1game. What you have to do is put a xbox 1 game in it then untick that box where it says use sector mapper. then take out your xbox 1 game and it should work fine on 360 games now. Had that same prob.
