Read through the tutorials on the sticky posted here:

http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=513412

You will need a modified xbox 360 to play and decent dual layer media to burn.

i did read it and link that you send , i been there too but

when i try to back up my game

i insert game into my laptop's LG dual layer burner

and open XBOX BACK UP CREater. i was unable to sit start bcause it is not selected

that why i am asking this question again. SO do i need to twek the seting in XBC software or ( i am missing something here) i read lots posts but i couldn't find out. So please help
StrictPuppet
Yes you are missing something here.....

XBCr will only read games from:
PC DVD Samsung SH-D162C with Kreons modified firmware (PC DVD Drive)
Xbox 360 Samsung TS-H943A with Xtreme compatible firmware, v1, v2 or v3.
Xbox 360 Hitachi GDR-3120L with Xtreme compatible firmware with OPA v2.1

360 game discs can only be read by certain drives, however you may have some success using the wxripper method and your laptop, however it will not be able to retreive the security sector needed to make a working backup.

I believe what strict puppet just listed out was in that link I had posted for you. A straight up computer DVD drive will not read xbox 360 games. You need one of the drives he listed as well as following the methods associated with each drive in the tutorial I pointed out for you.
jabroniekilla
download the tutorial in my sig, if you can't figure it out from that, maybe you shouldn't try flashing your drive. I can see "help! my drive wont eject or anything!" in your future.

No. You are going to need to to either get a special DVD drive or open your 360, or attach the drive to your computer via SATA and rip the game with the software. You can't just pop it into the drive you have in your laptop and copy it... it's not anywhere near that easy.
Also, you are going to need SATA to flash your drive or a special USB to SATA adapter to flash the drive, like the X360USB from Xecuter.

The links listed are what you need to do it.
You should seriously consider letting SOMEONE HERE do it for you.
