I had a Samsung drive with ms25 firmware which has died(track burnt out on board). I purchaced a replacement however, how do I flash the drive with my consoles firmware from the old drive when the old drive no longer powers up. How do I get my console to accept my new drive as currently all I get is "...to play this disk put it in an XBox360 console...".

If you havent got the key from your original drive your screwed.
If the firmware chip is OK you will be able to put the chip in an external programmer & dump the firmware.

Yep, unfortunatly.
Was your original drive flashed with xtreme firmware?
If so the person who flashed it may still have the orig.bin

unfortunately mine was chipped and even if I did get the chip of the board I dont have the knowledge or the equippment to extract the key from it. Is there anyone that would do this?
