I flashed a ms25 with xtreme 5.2 back in december, lately its starting to take along time to read backups, orginals work fine, but theres a clicking sound from the laser when it tries to spin the backup, sometimes it will work, sometimes it won't.

i reflashed the drive with xtreme 5.2c that way i could change the drive speed to 4x, this time it read gears of war backup when that wouldnt read at all before, but all other games still have issues, and 90 percent wont read at 4x either.

any advice guys?

if originals are fine, but not backup: could be the media, what are you using?

ive tried 2 different media's

memorex and fujifilm
2.4x burn speed
on an LG 4160.

i also have 2 xbox 360's one ms28 and ms25, the ms28 works flawless.

i've had the same types of issues with my xbox 360. try using Verbatium DvD +r DL, they're seemed to work the best. memerex and fulifilm worked fine for me and then i started getting slow loads, opentray and disk unrecongizable after about 3 months. so i got another 360 and im now going to flash that on and hopefully it helps my disk reading issues.

note - always burn at 2.4 it will help
