Well that was a pleasant surprise looking at the gaming news today. Hopefully Sony loses a few more exclusives in the upcoming months.

I think devs are realizing that they can cover their cost of making games better by releasing games on multiple consoles.

I mean you got FROM SOFTWARE releasing Armored Core 4 on 360, which is the first time AC has been on a non Playstation system, and GTA IV is launching first for 360. This is definitely good news for us as 360 owners.

Resident Evil 5 was confirmed for the X360 a long time ago.
(Did you know that M$ passed up on Heavenly Sword? I couldn't believe it either but M$ confirmed it to 1up)

EGM's the Q, reported a while back that Konami was forcing Hideo Kojima to port Metal Gear Solid 4 over to the Xbox 360.
It's only a matter of time until Konami confirms the X360 version.
Look for this one to be a timed exclusive for Sony, much like MGS2 was.

Now I'd like to say thanks to every Xbox 360 owner who purchased Dead Rising and/or Lost Planet.

Nevermind, I found it. Wow, Shane Kim might have really dropped the ball with Heavenly Sword. Well, that might just end up being my first retail game purchase on the PS3. Right now my PS3 is a 600 dollar Tekken machine.

i think heavenly sword has always been a lot of hype. i have a ps3 and i will not be buying that game. i don't know which games i'll buy for my ps3 but, lair, heavenly sword, gt5 and motorstorm are all games that i will not be purchasing. forza 2 will be better than gt5, motorstorm is a bunch of hype, lair & heavenly sword look meh. i wouldn't buy any of these on the 360 either and i want something to do on my ps3 since it never even gets powered on now. well, folding@home is coming soon, /me can't wait and on the original topic, glad to see DMC4 is comfirmed.

Sony owns the rights to the Metal Gear Solid series, it's a SCE title for christs sake! WE WILL NEVER SEE THIS TITLE ON THE XBOX 360. Final Fantasy 13 maybe, but not MGS.

So now all PS3 has is MGS (which will possibly come to the 360), FF (which will probably come to the 360), GT5 (which will be pwned by Forza Motorsport) and a few promising titles that are still exclusives, but not nearly brand names that will carry the platform (Little Big World and Killzone 2 come to mind). I almost feel sorry for Sony (almost!)...

MS could really turn up the heat and undermine Sony's Europe launch by dropping the price of the 360 to somewhere around 320 euros right now, and release a 65nm quiet version before PS3 supply to Europe meets demand. That would really hurt them, and leave Sony no option but lowering the price of the PS3 with at least 150 euros. Which, in turn, would almost convince me to buy a PS3 anyway, but merely because I like the fact that you can run Linux on it and tinker with the hardware (in all fairness, the PS3 still has a very interesting hardware architecture) and because I suspect things will get a little better for Sony in the long run.

At the end of the day there's only one winner: we gamers. All these exclusives coming to the 360 is good, the pressure put on Sony will force them to perfom much better and listen to consumers, and then we still have Nintendo who's trying to win this from a completely different angle. Good times for console gaming :-)

Capcom is going with Microsoft lately, this isn't something that come out of the blue, voices of this "switch" from exclusive to multi platform already spreaded some time ago.

We'll see, anyway Capcom could get in troubles with this, because they are playing too much with their titles, and their Sony counterpart could get in the "fire" between them and Sony.

Yeah they need to dig into their own back catalog of IP for new games. Sega has this same problem too, Burning Rangers, lots of great Saturn and Dreamcast IP few know about but could be easily resurected, a good House of the Dead again?

Also Wipeout is owned by Psygnosis or was at some time. They had Wipeout for the Sega Saturn and Wipeout 64 for the N64. I'm not so sure this is such a Sony exclusive.

it is pretty much proven that the 360 is easier to develop for, so it makes sense that developers are ok with making games for the 360 as well. not to mention that $ony have f-ed up time and time again with the ps3. keep the $ony exclusives coming! my 360 loves it.

just to be sure, i think he meant the view with the dashboard and wheel and everything. That view is NOT the norm for car sims on the scale of GT and forza. Its normal for PGR that dont have as much cars to model. Im sure the bumper cam will be there though.

They are bitching cause they know that PoS console they bought is failing more by the day. With no exclusives for the PS3 and plenty of games on the 360 there is no reason to buy one (unless you want a cheap blu ray player).

Who can blame Capcom, keeping it exclusive for $ony will only give it less potential sales and with plenty more 360s in consumers hands why would they want to make it exclusive for a losing console?
