I know that you have to backup your DVD FW then patch it in the exploited FW then write to the drive this not being possible via CD.

My question is, is there an alternative way of doing this procedure perhaps via HDD or anything of this similar sort?

My pc never came with a floppy drive its 2 months old.

Sure. I used NTFS4DOS like Textbook has in his tutorial.
