Is this a common problem, When i press the eject button on my samsung xbox the drive stays shut, it will only open if I push it in and then it will pop out.

Sometimes it will open normally but thats very rare.

Is there any way it can be repaired , fixed . By myself? Also is it a common problem?

if you take apart the console (voiding the warranty) you could do some adjustments.

thanks, I am aware of this. It is already flashed with xtreme firmware. So no probs getting into it, just wondering what exactly it is that I can do to fix it?
jabroniekilla
does the drive stick even when the case is off?
Siph3r
yeah

this is a very common thing with these drives, it even happens with xbox1 drives. go to a dollar store and they have rubberband type hair ties. they come like 100 for a buck, they look like thier cut from a tube of rubber. replace the one in yor drive and it will work till it dies. if you dont want to open your drive yet, then right after you hit the eject button tap the tray and it will come out every time.

yeah I know it comes out when I Tie it.

so is this the "rubberband" trick i've been hearing of?
Navillos
no that has to do with the laser i think.
