IIRC, you don't have to get that far, you just have to boot it up, eject the disk when asked, and then it'll be in Mode B.

Hello,
I'm using 360 Toolbox version3.1 (and v3 also)

I'm stuck, right after I hit "Raw Dump Firmware As.." the Save As screen show up, telling me to name my original firmware, I name it orignal.bin (as Textbook suggested), right after I hit save, the error box show up, say "cannot read from drive"

Can anybody pleaseeeee help me on this?
thank you guys

are you sure you are in mode B.
I am assuming a v78 on which pcicard/chipset are you using this.

also, plse no multiple thread for all the same flash process.

sorry about multi thread, yes I'm pretty the driver in ModeB, the LED blinking rapidly and I can see it recognize in Window, I'm using SATA >> USB cable, do you know why I can't Raw Dump (actually, I can't even Classic Dump it)

any help is appreciate, as for me, I've been sitting here for 4 hours trying to figure this out..

Pretty sure the mix of v78/toolbox/usb is not good, remember seeing posts about the xecuter usb not working on a 78.

should try with true sata

thanks SoSo, I've just found out, not a lot of USB>> SATA (if not at all) works for dump/flash firmware, I guess I've to get the chipset, any suggestion which one I should get?
sosotiit
for a v78 I would not be the expert, you can check the FW toolbox 3.0 to see if people mentionned wich chipset they used.
certainly someone with experience on v78 will jump in biggrin.gif ,
good luck, soso

Thank You Soso, your help is much appreciated.
