Hello everybody

I just got me a Sumsung Super- WriteMaster, and i was wondering if anybody knows if i can backup games with it or not.If so,then do i have to open it up in order for me to make it work or not?The reason i bought an external burner is coz i don't have a desktop pc. any help would be great coz i'm new to this whole thing.

Thanks

a lot of reading biggrin.gif

Plse explore the pinned section at the top of the forum ( Where To Find Help, Info, Tools For The XS Newbie ) as much is covered there.

most burner will be ok with the latest x360 firmware.

to extract you need to access you x360 drive (at least for the SS file) or acquire a pc drive that can extract x360 games like the shd162c (there are only 4 drives like that, also in the pinned).

also important to know what is your x360 drive and model

Is there anyway to burn the games without opening the dvd burner and replacing dvds inside the burner?

Thanks

I am assuming you are talking about the Wxripper method??

If so, depending on you burner some will allow you to open them with the emergency hole (after you stop spin biggrin.gif ). Pioneer are vvery good for that , but for most drive it does not work well.

Do you mean that i don't have to add any firmware to the burner for me to copy the games?(which is i hop lol).
Do you know any external/internal pioneer in mind that would work or all of them would do the job?
BTW: my dvd drive is a sammy S28.

Thanks

First if you have a samsung, you are wasting your time with wxripper or using your burner.

With wxripper you need to open your x360 to get the ss.bin. That is required for the people with hitachi drive. Your samsung can extract the entire game, so if you connect it to your PC for the ss, why not extract the entire game with a single clic on XBCreator.

So here are your options,
-Use your X360 samsung to extract the entire game with XBCreator, see this document . You will need to access your x360 drive each time you do a backup.

-or get a shd162c and do the extraction with XBCr from your PC as same document or Tutorial: XBCreator & Imgburn .

So by getting the shd162c burner would make every thing run smoothly, right?
I hop they have those burners as an external once, coz i don't have desktop grr.gif (I never thought that i would need one)

Thanks alot for your time

Just to clarify, the Sh-d162c is a reader, it is not a burner.

So there shouldn't be any problems burning the games with a regular buner, right?
One more thing.I'm %99.9 sure that the burner has to to be DL+burner, the reason i'm asking is because i've been hearing that you can also burn them with regular burner that doesn't have DL+or_ as well huh.gif just want to get that part clear once and for all if you don't mind wink.gif

Thanks

With the nnewest FW, yes most burner will do just fine.

Not sure I follow the rest, but if the question is +R or -R DL, then the answer is +R DL.
