well I'm not a noob and I have flashed a bunch of 360 both hitatchi and sammys but never ran into this problem. I have been trying to flash it for a month and tried everything to no avail. I can get it into modb no problem. I can even get my computer to reconize after doing the device manager thing. Can eject 360 drive from pc ect... The drive shows up in windows. But when I go to flash it it tells me there is no hitatchi drive found or somthing like that says check 3 things ect.. And I have tried every way to type the comand. I also tried toolbox and it reconizes it but wont do a raw dump. This has drove me crazy little hair left. I have tired 3 chipsets via64..., si and my onboard ich5 I think wich did all other hitichis. I eject the try during start up ect. What am I doing wrong everything looks good untill I try to flash in dos. anyone had this problem I have read a few people having the same problem but no answer on how to fix it. any help would be greatly apricated.

Never had a problem with a 0059DJ. Used a SIL3112 PCI SATA card and Slax.

Sata cable is still good?

Which FW? do you have rev2 of garyopa 2.3?

The FW is well extracted in a directory easy of access (like C:\fw360)

have you tried just to dump the firmware
memdump (drive) 12200 8 8000 current.bin
from the directory where the Garyopa fw is located
and open it with toolbox

Does it function well with original and movies?

just some ideas, not sure I see what could really be your prob if you have done hitachi on the same setup before.
