I have a v1.0 xbox and I just got a matrix chip a few days ago. I have programmed it a few times now and have installed it, got the green led on and switched to mode 2 but nothing happens. The xbox just boots up like it normally did before i got the chip. I read many things and I can't figure it out. I used WinLCP to program it and I tried Evoxd.6 I've tried x2 and others but nothing seems to work. I get the green led which leads me to believe i installed it correctly. I never got this tape and washer some get with their matrix chip and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Please could someone help me get this chip working. I've spent many hours trying to figure it out myself but I just can't seem to get it to work.
Thankyou

when you are programming your chip on the programmer, pinch the programmer and the chip together firmly, many people have had to do this in order for the chip to get a good flash, however normally it just frags out, you are saying that it boots normally?? are you sure the chip isn't working, i mean are you using a color bios or anything?? that would be your best bet.
the washer isn't really that big of a deal, i have heard of several people who didn't get the washer and they installed with no problems, if you want, you can buy a washer at your local hardware store for about 3 cents. beerchug.gif

thanks man. I'm not totally sure if the chip is not working as I don't know where to find a color mod. I'll try pinching the programmer and the chip together when i program the chip. If you or anyone could PM me with where i could get these color mod bios's, that would be great, thanks

Why did you double post this? There is no need for this.
