As many of you, I have 2 guitars on my ps2 version of GH2 (along with many other periphs), and I'd rather not throw more money into "upgrading" to the 360 version.

Kiky Ps2 > USB adapter > 360 using ddr pads = NO LUCK

1) Has anyone had any luck hooking up ps2 peripherals to their 360?

2) I've read the 360 guitars have some chip that communicates with the game possibly making it difficult to use 3rd party / ps2 guitars is this true?

I noticed the XFPS supports "pads and guitars" but without confirmation from someone who's actually used it.. i'm hesitant into paying 160$ for 2 adapters vs. 120$ for 2 360 guitars.

3)Anyone had any luck with pads and/or guitars?

Thanks in advance!

i personally haven't had any experience with them, but from what i have heard they don't work overly well

120$ for 2 360 guitars.

thats cheaper then the 2 adaptors... i guess im failing to see the logic.

unless you are wanting to use the ddr pads on the 360 as well.

2 Guitars for $120 is still cheaper than 2 adapters for $160.

I would think it would work with the adapter, what it is that wireless peripherals are set up with the x360 to prevent 3rd party manufacturers from making wireless devices. I would assume Microsoft gave activision the info to make the guitar wireless.

I haven't used any adapters as I use all my genuine equipment, but good luck in your search.

I can confirm it's working (PS2 Guitar>XFPS>360) Although,I haven't backed up Guitar Hero II for the 360, I can confirm the frets, whammy bar, and strum are respoding under GoW.Not too sure if the select button is working though (which I normally use for star power).I'll confirm later this week if anyone is interested

Yeah... I have alot of ps2 peripherals and I'd love to use ALL of them on my 360 wink.gif Thus the 40$ investment wouldn't be too bad.
