wht is up all

so i flashed my friends drive yesterday and another successful flash all the way
thanks again to all who help out here..<>

but i have one problem that still persists...

I have connected my 360 drive to my pc again to rip games onto my pc using schtrom360xtract....so i connected my drive
put in the 0800 disk for like 20 seconds, took it out, and then booted into windows,...
when i booted it got to the windows xp loading screen an it just frooze there (just about where the lil scroll thing starts going)..<>

i think it is a problem with scsi drivers in windows even though i installed the drivers for my via chip in windows xp>>>note that my computer is from 1999 and is all ide interface except for the via pci sata card i bought in order to flash my 360....

and i also i go into msinfo32 and it sees the via chip and everything is fine with all the irQ's and DMa's and stuff
so it sees it fine but it cant use it (my 360 drive)...its kinda weird

but if you guys have any suggestions that would be kewl
I also heard that i should try booting with the drive out and i did and it still didn't work

i think i need more scsi drivers so i can support having a device connected and running

thx a lot
any suggestions asap

Are you guys using a 6421 card with the latest drivers (5.4), if so try to revert to the drivers 5.2 available on viarena site.

so your saying to install the 5.2 version of the driver
Via Raid 5.20a_v3.0

then it should work..????

i will get home and see wht the current version of the drivers are

hope this works

could someone post if this works<>

thx

Yeah, I had this issue, upgrade to latest drivers as said, and make sure the drive is connected to the card and not the motherboard's ports! Put the disk in and wait for a sec, eject turn on and wait.

yup guys i just got done rippin shit perfectly and it booted great

wht i did is get those drivers from the site link i gave and then went into device manager and dounble click the via card then click update driver and select the extracted folder from the download
then rebooted
and just opened up my 360 again and attached it and then booted into xp perfectly fine and started the process with shtrom360xtract and already had two successful ripps

but i have a question???

i ripped gears of war and RSV and they are both exactly the same size isos according to windows
7,395,392 KB which is approxiamtely 7.05 GB

is that normal for them to be the same???

thx
sosotiit
yes all the same size for x360 backups,
