error opening dvd-rom {e} exclusive access this pop up as i try to burn image with xbc v2.4

does anybody know what did i do wrong here .thanx

It means that something else has access to the drive, either another burning program is running or you have an open explorer window viewing that drive....etc. The burning program cannot get exclusive access of the drive to lock it from use by the other application.

Typically you can still burn anyway. Most people have found that using Imgburn is better than using xbc's built in burn engine. Its a free app so if you dont have it just google for it.

*Edit* also if you are not logged on windows as an administrator, it can also do a similar thing. Limited accounts do not get exclusive drive rights.
