Hi Guys,

Need your urgent help. I have a pioneer 111d which i had on my old system using normal PATA connection an have burned 360 games very succesfully.

Now i have upgraded to dell e520 and this only have support for SATA drives - How can i use my pioneer as there seems to be no way of conncetion to my new pc or what is the best drive to get with SATA connection.

Have tried to find the answer for 2 hours now with no luck - please help!!

You can get a USB shell to put your pioneer in it, or get a IDE PCI card.

You could also try an IDE to SATA adapter. You can get those for around 10$. What soso said would work too, just thought I'd put this option in.

I'm interested in the other half of this question, whether there's any SATA dvd burners out there that'll do xbox 360 backups. Any news there?

Zero research again grr.gif

1) six topics under yours at the time of post was "Which S-ata Dvd Burner For Backups?"

2) the pinned section at the top of the Backup forum Backup Faq - Everything* You Need To Know PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS! will tell you "Do no ask will this burner work? With the latest firmware for both Hitachi and Samsung drive, the burner compatibility is not an issue anymore." so most burner will do fine, pioneer still being the best.

With that said, it is recommended that before you consider making a post in ANY forum on this site that you first review the Pinned/Sticky Topics at the top of the forum you are interested in. Chances are, anything you might want to ask, has already been asked and answered there. If not, do a search. No one likes to answer the same question a 1000 times. If you make a post that has been done many many time before, staff might close it, or merge it with others.

So.. before making a post, check existing topics.. both pinned, and by search. Still think you should/can make a post?

I've been looking into other alternatives for my backup needs and have noticed cd freaks has posted the 212D which is the 112D in sata form.
