I was wondering if anybody knew if I could swap my already flashed Hitachi drive into a new xbox. My new box has a Hitachi drive in it, but will I still be able to play backups or even get my xbox to work if I swap them out.

Thanks!

YOu will need to get the key of your new drive and flash it in your already flashed drive.

might just be easier to flash the new drive.

what is the new drive?

Cant just swap, you have to flash the new drive with the backup you made from the old one. Wont work otherwise.

One of my friends flashed my first 360 for me. the reason I want to swap drives is because the box he flashed for me gives me now the Ring of Death.

So now I am trying to learn how to do it myself. It sounds pretty easy compared to other consoles.

My question is does each 360 and dvd drive have a unique key per system? or is there a chance that my drive will have the same key as my new 360.

no chance whatsoever, look at the link above, simply transfer your old key in you new drive and you are all set.
