You could throw "Pow" or "Zap" on the screen using a pulse modifier and timers.

excellent work bro, what program did you do it with?

I've been trying to figure out a way to do 3d text in photoshop 7 but haven't figured it out yet

whole thing was done in Adobe Illustrator...no 3-d plug in for text...had to do it manually.

I've never used MXM...I'm still relatively new...but I'll check it out for sure...i've heard a lot about it

The load screen is even cooler! Something that could make it even cooler for some of us would be different HDD manufacturer logos (Western Digital or Seagate or whoever) if you have the time ...

I didn't want to busy it up...so I left all that out...for me, I always just monitor that stuff through the system settings panel...but I know lots of people like it on the front...
