I was trying to make a bfm bios based on the retail 5838 for testing purpose, but I did not succeed sad.gif
I've read of other people that made this bios with booting from yboxdash.xbe instead of the usual xboxdash.xbe, and I've used xbtool in order to unpack the bios and hex-edit the xboxkrnl.img, then I repacked the bios as bfm but it won't load

help me please, what can I do?

p.s. sry for my bad english, I'm italian...

Make sure when you pack the BIOS the 'BFM' option is checked AND also the 'XBOX 1.1' option from the drop-down menu is selected, and it should fix your problem. happy.gif

just tried with no success...

I'm using the "Phoenix Bios Loader - The Metoo Edition" with the correct rc4 keys. Where is my problem?

ok, it's not a problem of the pbl because I tried other kind of bioses and these are loaded correctly. So the problem regards the bios itself. Maybe there is a sort of protection or whatever that doesn't allow me to boot the kernel... anyone succeded into making this bfm bios load?

After some research, it would seem that the only PBL version that can load BFM 5838 BIOSes is the 'PBL - Metoo' edition.

I would try loading it with that. happy.gif

I'm using that version of pbl but with no results...

I stared thinking that I'm making an error somewhere when packing the bfm bios...
