i have the board and want to know if i just apply a lot of solder or i get some sort of wire?
patchesreusch
does anyone know how to install the pcb or what?

You just set the rebuild board over the LPC port, and apply a little bit of solder to connect the soldering pads on the rebuild board to the motherboard

Its best if you Put some flux to the places your going to be soldering wink.gif

do i solder the pin header first?
xboxgamer733
If you solder the LPC rebuild board to your Xbox's motherboard after the pin header is installed, it won't be able to lay flat against the motherboard.

Because of this, I recommend applying solder to the pin header pins after you have installed the rebuild board.

how do i put on the solder to the pins after the board is installed?

If done correctly, it should flow onto the pins and into the LPC holes. Couldn't tell ya exatly because I never use em (wire installs are easier IMO as you can see what is and isn't soldered 100% correctly. The board covers up the whole LPC holes so you don't know which one(s) are soldered correctly)

ya i tried the lpc thing like i shouldn't have and broke a trace and got a pin header stuck in there

thus, why I suggested using wires as you now have to desolder the entire lpc board, fix the trace, and re-do the rebuild either (at your own risk lol) with the lpc rebuild board or with wires.

hei i got a 1.6 with the rebuild and its not a big deal...just solder the pins first without adding to much solder to it...then the lpc rebuild...sometimes u dont need more solder it will jsut stick together without problem...also flux its a good idea like that dude said!...just as a tip be carefull on not leaving more than 3 seconds the iron in the motherboard because it could be damaged =]
