OK, long story short, I just bought a modded xbox from someone, and some changes need to be made. I have the SmartXX V3 chip, XBMC and EvoX (says so when I boot up the SmartXX screen) also says something about linux.... I tried it and I can run linux, cool... anyways.

I need a few peices of help...

1.) Upgrading EvoX to the newest version... Where to get it and HOW (Step by step please, I have NO clue what I'm doing)
2.) Locking my HD (I've looked up tutorial after tutorial and nothing seems to work)
3.) updating... anything else I might need to update... help?

Anyways, i just wanted to add that I know how to use FTP to the box, and I know my way around XBMC.

You can edit but only in a 15 minute window.

You need to flash a bios (get it from Xbins) such as X2 5035 (I think is the latest one) to the SmartXX Mod Chip.

You have to boot an Evox CDRW to get FTP working, plenty of tutorials at http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php

Just do some reading/research, it's all there. Just don't ask for files (like evox etc) that are built on XDK, just get them from xbins.

I have the latest xbmc but really evox is evox updating isn't rally gonna make it better like xbmc now the upgrade i have for that is very impressive from skins to functions its something else if you want email me ill hook it up traviss63 yahoo
