Hey, I'm considering buying an xbox 360. I used to have a regular xbox with a modchip installed so I could backup my games to the harddrive I put in it. Can you do this with the 360 as well? Would I be able to back up both types of my games (regular xbox and xbox 360)?

Also, is there any recommendation as to what type of 360 I should get? My friend recommended the new "elite" one. I plan to back up all of my games (except the ones I'll play online, since I'm assuming you can't have those backed up and play them online) so that they remain scratch-free. Thanks!

If by backup your games you mean save them to the xbox 360 hard drive, then no, you cant back them up. The only way you can back up your xbox 360 games is to make a copy of them and stow away the original. There are many threads on this so i wont go explaining in detail.
