I still can't find on this forum if i should use UDF or make an iso with Isomaker ?
What are the pros/cons of each of these solutions ?
Thanks for sharing your experience

one may work for you, one may not. at the beginning i tried a few games from ISOs and only got morrowind to work, and it loaded slow as hell. i learned about UDF and have gotten every single game to work, and load as fast as the originals.

Yeah RecordNow's default "Data" (which is UDF) mode is the best!
Of course you need RecordNowMax to do this. See other thread about how hard this really is. (it's idiot proof)

Actually, both UDF and xISO methods have their flaws. xISO is buggy and can sometimes create images that simply won't boot. UDF is somewhat more reliable, but gets kicked in the ass with Sega Sports games that have ~2 million files in the root. Takes several minutes to load these.
Best (illegal) bet is to use gdfimage.exe, which is MS's pre-mastering utility. If you can legally use the XDK, then gdfimage is included with it, so it shouldn't be a problem.
