Ok since i got the pics out already i wanted to post a thread just for this im going ahead with the build of it 2mar but i figured i would post the concept pics again for people who havent seen it yet. Also i want to address that wut u see here is pre build so it all might stay might not we will have to wait. Im looking for some gfx artists not to many to help (as i can do gfx myself just need some extra input) and a small coder as this skin is not that complicated at all the idea of it is simplicity and the whole reason i named it placid is because it means calm and peaceful easy. I want this to be a fun exprience for all who help thanx and heres the screens.

Skin looks interesting. Spiderman 3 was good too, except where he acted like a damn drag queen for 15 min.

yeah theres some but im not going to release any screen shots till ive made the proper corrections to some of the prebuild screenshots and concept ideas bare with me

well i dont wanna leave u guys with nothing so heres a little piece of the new skin its more or less a promotional poster kinda but im reinventing the whole project some things like i said might fit might not im going to show a better concept i have in the works but here it is ill release the alpha build along with the website to downlaod it off of and hopefully it will be on the xbmc skinning svn but here it is placid (working title) promotional pic



dont worry theres more to come thats just what will happen when the skin loads up like i said its a new concept of the skin to make it look more sleek and sexy

actually I haven't done anything yet but make the skin.xml and code all of the font.xml's and I will be in florida on vacation starting tomorrow thru sunday so hopefully D3vi@nt has some other coders to work with while I'm gone

Here's a suggestion - make your mock-ups in the actual resolution that XBMC displays. You'll save yourself a lot of time when you actually start making the skin!

no those images are made to be small so they dont stretch the forums and mess with the boards

just a small update no majer work will begin on the sin till SC10-E gets back but im makin minor adjustments to some critical parts of this skin thats getting even me excited for it

im gonna be taking some time off from the skin its self and actually learn how to code the entire thing so i can get good knowledge and there for make a better and reliable skin. im not gonna stop the project i just need some time to learn how to edit the proper things to make the skin work the way i want thats all for now and peace

the site that placid will be released on is here www.mediaarena.co.nr its still being built so the design isnt final also it will be released on the forum but only a little after the main site there has to be a section for placid added still but it will be added check it out now! I also plan on adding in xtv and a few other skins on there

I got a question about your signature Image

it says "Themes & Updates Daily" I'm curious what you will be putting out every day XBMC development dosn't go that fast that you would need to update it every day so are we getting a new theme everyday ? or is it a slight exaggeration. because if we get a new theme every day I'd rather go for quality over quantity any time
