i bought my first 360 on launch date, worked fine till about april 2006 then it froze while playing oblivion and 3rlod...got a new one from the warranty, has worked fine till yesterday, started it up, started a few video trailer downloads, boot up crackdown, boot halo 3 beta, it freezes at the "RP" rating pending screen, turn off, turn on, 3rlod...happens everytime i start it up...called MS and they said out of warranty, $140 fix, no way....i've been looking into rbjtech's xclamp replacement, since it has a good success rate, but what other options do i have? anything else i can try? i just don't want to pay MS for the repair only to have another die and have my money wasted...any help is appreciated, thanx

Call M$ back and escalate until you get satisfaction.

I guess their plan is to have people buy a new xbox every year. $500 bucks per year per user is pretty good profit.

The solution to that is your basic x-clamp replacement on the GPU.
