The only fix that seems to last out is the x-clamp replacement. The others are temporary fixes and have the potential to damage the xbox further. This is a good tut if you want to give it a try

Heay gun fix, towel fix, eraser fix = Junk.
Only replacement of the x-clamps has shown a lasting fix, as oposed to the others.
