i used the solderless method to install the chip and it's been working fine for over a year except when i lose contact with the d0.
today it fraged so i tried realigning the d0 but got the same result. however when i moved the switch on the chip, a xenium screen came up.
First off, what does the switch do, and secondly, how can i fix my xbox

The switch is to go into recovery mode, thats why it loads then says halting, because you dont have anything for it to flash.

And i would say realign the whole solderless adapter not just the d0, because it sounds like there isnt a very good connection between the pins and the LPC

check this out in the spot on the bottom second from the left there is a metal spot, but no point to make contact with on the board. there is also a long pin that comes out from the other side. Is it broken?
