I'm having issues getting it to run, I think it's software related, but just encase it's hardware I'm using a Sammy with a 5.4a firmware, when I listen to to drive it sounds like the laser is putting a lot of work into reading the "DVD" I burned. I've done this more than once before and never had this problem.

did you unzip the file? then drag and burn

Yes followed the instructions as it said, unzip and it must be default.xex and the only file on the disc.

My update went well, no problems here.

Rebooted the computer this morning hoping maybe that would help, so I re burned it again and no dice... what gives man. I'm using Sony brand DVD+R disc, I can't figure this out.

Have you used those discs for other things on the xbox.... maybe your box doesn't like it.. try another brand of media.

Also make sure you have the latest firmware on your burner.

try putting the update on a CD, and i dont think your ment to un zip it just burn the file
