Ok, so I am having the weirdest problem I have ever had with a 360, and honestly did not know what forum to put it in because I have no clue as to the cause of the problem. I figured I would put it in here because the problem is with a backup although everything I know, and my intuition tells me that it is not related to the backup.

I have a 360 premium modded with 5.1 I believe, it is a TS with MS28. I have recently been getting into Oblivion and have progressed really far with my character. When I go to turn on the xbox with oblivion in the drive the game goes to load and freezes as soon as it starts to load with the e in the center of the screen (for those of you familiar with this game the e is the first graphic you see when the game loads and letters appear until Bethesda is spelled out on the screen). To make a long story short I found out that this only happens when I play the game with my hard drive attached and does not happen when I unplug it, to make the story even weirder I do not have this problem with any other game, I can booth them fine with the hard drive attached, and even load a profile or game save. However I still cant play oblivion with my hard drive attached and it is killing me, I am very addicted to that game and really want to get back to playing it. Please help, because someone has to kill Manimarco and if I don't do it I don't know who will ;p

Try that and let us know if it works. wink.gif

I'll move this to the backup forum for now and if it turns out to be a caching problem (link above), then I'll move it to the Oblivion forum. wink.gif (It probably is the caching problem with Oblivion, but if I moved it to that forum and it was a problem with the backup you probably wouldn't get much help there) wink.gif

your intuition tells you its not related to the backup? well i think your original disc should confirm that for you. did you try the original disc and see if the same thing happens. i'm not trying to flame you but the way your post is worded in several different lines i got the impresion u dont have an original. just try the original and see if they same thing happens.
