Okay a long time ago I had screwed up an Xbox and it got an "Error 16." Now, well, I got a new xbox and was messing around and I switched the broken one's IDE cable so it is connected to the new one's HD and to the broken one's DVD Drive. And I was able to set the clock and that's it. So now on my broken xbox, which is now plugged in to it's DVD drive and it's HD, I can cold boot games, but when I try to access the dashboard I get an "Error 13" instead. So my question is can I restore any dashboard on it? (EvoX, UnleashedX, or etc.)
Thanks,

Will this work if you do not have a chip? And all you have to do is get SlaYer's AutoInstaller 2.6 and use DVDdecrypter, then burn it to a DVD-R to get the xbox to read it, right?

Sorry, about double posting! I downloaded the SlaYer 2.6 ISO and got a clean and blank DVD-R, I burned the ISO file with DVDdecrypter by going to Mode > ISO > Write. Next I selected my burning drive and selected the SlaYer 2.6 ISO. Then, I set the burning speed at 8x, and hit burn. But, when I put the disc in my XBox, instead of an "Error 13" it gave me an "Error 14" By chance do I need to set the burn speed to 56x? Or is there an additional solution?

if you have no chip you may have to resoftmod it again if you can boot a game.

Okay, I don't have a chip, and what do you mean "resoftmod" it. It will let me boot games.
