I ordered this dvd drive off newegg apparently and when i got to dvd info pro, i try to change the setting from dvd+r dl to dvd-rom like i think your supposed to, but it says pioneer drives do not support bitsetting. DO i need to flash the firmware with something, or do I even need to change it? If so, and is legal, can you provide a link to the firmware. Thank you so much for any help.

If you are using a newer firmware, bisetting is not needed.

agreed, not needed anymore and on top of it, you cannot change it because it will be force at dvd-rom for DL.
