I am runnig a softmodded xbox with the evox dash installed using SID 5.

This seems like it would work, but I would like to ask before I get myself in deeper shit. Since I can still boot game disks, could I just run my Splinter Cell disk, open the gamesave exploit, open SID, restore my backed up C drive, and re-softmod. I am still using my original HD and only really use the Media Center and play multiregion dvds, so loosing what's on the E drive is not a worry, since it is all easily replaced.

In case anyone asks, I tried leaving my Xbox on for 6 hours, the audio CD trick, and the DVD/title & next button trick, all to no avail. I am pretty aprehensive about hot swapping or editing ini files, and would like to avoid doing so if possible.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

EDIT: Just in case I am a COMPLETE idiot and am not in a clock loop...

This all happened after I was unpluged for over 4 hours, so clock loop is pretty likely. But I am a noob, so I'll post this to be safe. Here is what happens when I power on.

Evox dash loads but the "cursor" (for lack of better term) is unresponsive to controller input
date reads 7/7/2006

yeah try the softmod again and see what happens,

Well, I thought I had a clock loop. Prior to all of this, my electricity had gone out for about 6 hours, and at startup, I had a strange led flash (don't remember the order of the colors). Low and behold, about 10 minutes after I posted that, I found out all I had a broken breakaway cable! That's right, a broken-ass breakaway cable. This has to be about the most bonehead thing I've done in a while. Sorry to anyone who wasted their time reading this. iamwithstupid.gif

You would still be better off using CASH Ver 1.1 to upgrade the softmod to Krazie's Ndure. You can set up XBMC to be the default dash with it also.

Is this somthing I get from "the usual place?" Is it somthing I run from my file manager? Should I stop asking questions and look for a tutorial?
