I HAVE JUST GOT THIS DRIVE AND I NEED TO FLASH IT !!!!
THIS HAS NOT BEEN FLASHD at all and i need help as i dont now how to do it and idears for best firmware
i have the slax 2 and live cds _ sata cable pc with win xp pro
i have tryd puting a game in this drive all i get is a bluw or green screen same if i press reset.
please help me

Try taking a breath and describing the problem better.
You know any backups with a Hitachi firmware may get you banned from live. You might want to wait a week or two until the new firmware comes out.
I have no idea what you are talking about blue or green screens.... Since the box is unmodified does it work with ORIGINALS?

i had a hitacti-lg with firmware extrem max:78. v 1.6 on now that has gon.
i have the same drive with no flash on
so i have put it in my xbox and all i get is a bluw or green screen.
and i carnt get it to go to mode B
