Ive modded Halo2 using xsata by transfering the maps onto my computer which are saved on my Hardrive. now if I download the bonus songs from GH2 onto my Hardrive, is there anyway I could possible alternate them and put my own songs in to the mix? ive seen this done with a modded ps2...

yes, but all downloadable content is signed with a digital signature. when a game tries to load the content, it checks to make sure the signature is there and valid.

if you modify the content (by replacing the audio and/or notes), said signature becomes invalidated.

i think it will be possible to modify the guitar hero content in the future (possibly on the disc itself as its likely that those songs are not signed and will be modifiable for people with a flashed firmware that can boot backups), however at this time nothing is possible.

thread moved to guitar hero section.
