Ok I tried to search on this but couldn't find the same problem I am having.
Recently I modded an xbox for a friend but did not receive a solderless adapter with the chip I got for them.
Needing to get the modding done in a certain time, I took my solderless out and using it to finish the job but I instead gave them my older xenium and kept the gold for mine.
I have now put the gold chip in my xbox with the exact same setup as was before. The problem I am having is setting the boot. I was able to get the retail kernel to be an option thru TSOP but when I try to use the hard drive option it get the "option disabled" error.
Please help as I frustrated with this considering how much it took to find just a solderless without a chip.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Your problem has nothing to do with the installation. Since it booted to the Xenium OS it means its working as it should.
As for the flashing on the hard drive thing, your problem is exactly as it tells you...its disabled. You cant boot the bios from the HDD, they must be flashed to the chip

Oh ya!!!
but now I can't find my bios.
Any suggestions on what bios I should be using with this chip?

I would recommend X2 5035 bios, but make sure you use the correct version for your xbox
x2 5035 old for v1.0 to v1.5 xboxs
x2 5035 v16 plus for v1.6 v1.6b xboxs

x2 5035 works great with the Xenium Gold, it is what I use.
