I have had this installed for like two years now. Well, whenever the Xenium Ice and 1.6 solderless adapter came out. Never had any problems until recently. When I turn on my XBox it is turning on, off, on, off, on and then flashing green and red, which would be indicative of the solderless out of place I figured. When I watched the lights on the solderless adapter when I turned it on, they don't all turn on at the same time but when I take the chip off the solderless adapter they do turn on at the same time. Is my Xenium Ice going bad? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

im guessing you have a v1.6 xbox. does the xbox boot without the chip in?

Yes the XBox does boot with the chip off of the solderless adapter.

Only when the chip is on does it not boot and the chip flashes red as it starts up and shuts down three times. Is my chip fried for no apparent reason?

Check D0 thats more than likely where your problem is or just yank it out(not really be gentle) and re-align that mofo or just get a new adapter if all else fails the same has happened to me
