I have a number of backup issues and was wondering if anybody has any suggestions?
First the specs:
Xbox 360:
- Hitachi-LG GDR3120L with 46DG firmware (I tried cleaning the lens on this also.)
- Successfully flashed with Commodore4Eva iXtreme Hitachi-LG v1.2 rev2
Computer:
- New Gateway GM5478 computer w/ Intel quad-core
- The Lite On drive supplied didn't support bitsetting so I installed Pioneer DVR-112D.
- Using Verbatim DVD+R DL and sometimes Memorex (Riteks?)
- Burned using ImgBurn @ 2.4 speed (4.0 speed doesn't help anything)
Before I bought the Pioneer 112D I got a couple of my backups to work (Forza 2, Viva Pinata was choppy). So I got the 112D installed and so far I haven't had much more luck. My problems are with All Pro Football 2K8 and Dead Rising. All Pro doesn't run at all and says open tray always. Dead Rising boots up as a DVD and tells me to install into a Xbox 360.
I tried updating my 112D's firmware to the latest 1.21 version but it said I already had it. I did just open DVDInfoPro and noticed when I clicked on +RW at the top see if my burns are going to DVD-ROM it popped up "Pioneer drives do not support bitsetting." Is that correct? When I burn discs in ImgBurn sometimes it says they are DVD+R DL and sometimes they read as DVD-ROM. Any suggestions? Should I reformat my 360 hard drive? I don't have any previous saves for these games on it.
Thanks in advance.
