I´ve burned some backups with my new flashed MS28, but even though I use Verbatim discs, and a proven-to-be-working burner burning at 2.4x and properly stealthed, i still cannot get the box to read play the game more than a few minutes. Tride both ixtreame stealth 1.2 and now xtreme 5.3.

Anyone know what the problem is. I have no problem with one of my backups, and all my originals are working.

THe games load up very slowly sometimes and sometimes just like a normal game. And i end up getting a DDE after a while. Uftentimes the drive starts to read the game loudly, and then gets more quiet till it stops and gives me a DDE. Someone who can help?

Sounds like an issue with the drive itself. However what DVD Burner and what method are you using to create the image?

also, maybe you are using the slow version of ixtreme?

there is a fast and slow read speed firmware with 1.2, check which you used.

Check the slow/fast version of ixtreme. That may be why.
Also, I know you arent "supposed" to have to, but maybe adjust the dvd laser pot?

Well, after trying both 5.3 and 1.2c, the drive has stopped reading anything at all. It reports that i should put the dvd in an xbox 360. Guess íll try andget a replacement.

could be just replacing the laser, less expensive than a drive
