Im getting ready to install the wire into the D0 point on my xbox. And i have seen some pictures of this point but none really close-in. I was just gonna get an idea on how much solder ect.
1) The solder can not touch the other traces next to it right?
I have seen a few pictures where it looked like the solder overlapped the traces.. but it was so far out i couldn't tell.. Thanks

Many people just tin the d0 wire. This will ensure you do not use too much solder.
I also flux the d0 point to ensure a secure contact. If the lacquer is too thick, you may have to scrape or rub it off to expose the metal, THEN apply flux. You will then be able to easily add a tiny droplet of solder to the end of your iron and tap it onto the point, provided you have a relatively fine-tip iron.
