OK so I was running Evox as my dash but wanted to use Avalaunch. So in the process of changing dashes I somehow deleted the .xbe file and now no dash will load but the Xbox default dash. For some reason I have also lost the FTP ability Im assuming because no other dash is working? So Im totally new to this so if you help me please bear with me. If you know how to fix this could you please give me detailed instructions as to how to do it, what to use etc. I know the usual places to find the specific programs etc. So if you know how to fix this please just help me out without sending me to multiple other posts that may exist on how to do this. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this iste to make it what it is and to anyone who can help me in advance!

Just get either Slayer's Evox CD of Auto-Installer deluxe, boot your xbox with one of those disc inside your xbox and you'll boot either to Evox or UnleashX, either way you'll have a FTP server on your xbox (maybe not the same address you used to have but it's indicated when the cd boot). After that you'll be able to reinstall your dashboard where it was supposed to be! I suggest you take either UnleashX or even better Xbox Media Center.

Good luck!

Hi,

just make sure you have a DHCP server up and running as most dvd based applications use it to obtain their ip adress.

regards.

Xbox Media Center for me. UnleashX would go in second place.
