He managed to make it look worse imo.That skin on the link you posted is much cleaner and sleeker looking.

I'm working on it. But people here are going to have to contribute as well before I post anything else. No one even commented on the sweet ass pics I posted. So lets see what themes people here think they can do better on. I would love to see this. Your doing gret Broads with the updates and extras.

I'm not being funny here or anything, but you seem to have a HUGE chip on your shoulder when it comes to your artwork...you're very agressive and argumentative.

If you're going to submit your work for other people to look at, then you have to prepare yourself for the fact that not everyone is going to like it. You also have to come to terms with the fact that there are a lot of other people here on the forums that have YEARS more design and skinning expertise than you do, can put out better-looking artwork than yours, and will have more experience in this area than you are probably ready for.

That said, dont get negative when people post negative comments about your work. Learn from it. Take what people say, mull it over, then come back to the drawing board with a fresh perspective on your work...it will help you in the long term, which is all most people here are trying to do.

You just making smart-ass comments toward other people will only get you haters...something you dont want if you're looking for people totry out your skins when they're done.

...its all about knowing what battles to fight and win, and which you can leave alone!


oh, and as professional designer...allow me to offer a small piece of advice...Dont go stealing other people's artwork and passing it off as your own...it'll P*** us off quicker than you can shake a stick at. If you want to use icons, or buttons or backgrounds, then please ask the designer first. Remember, this is a close-knit community...this ISN'T deviantart....ok?

Before you go and protest...i DID have a look at those "sweet-ass pics" as you so eloquently put it. So far all I see from a brand new skin is some artwork from the Clearity Mock (designed by Syph0nm), some icons from Project Mayhem II, and others....Apple.com trailer, etc. I'm only spit-balling here, but judging by the reaction you got so far about your kick-ass skin is that you didnt ask people to use thier artwork!

Then you have the audacity to challenge people to see if they can do better.

I understand. And your right. Thank you to all the creator's of those particular icons. I just wish skinners took more pride in the icons they select for there skin. There are free icons out there that rock? So if there are more experienced people. Where are they? Iv'e yet to be blown away here regarding icons. Nice skins, weak icons. No offence guys. No offence. Maybe someone out there will prove me wrong? I promised Broads I would chill out. I'm chillin. No disrespect to the skinners above. Great work on your skins. I just don't like the icons. My opinion only. And only that.

Now take what people have said about the skin and learn from it. If you need inspiration then go to good-tutorials.com and grab some kick-ass tutorials on interfaces and learn some new stuff....it's how we all get better by learning and practicing!
