hi, today i've tried to mount a 80pin cable and xbox report me a strange 07 error...

and now, when i've re-mounted the 40pin cable report me an 06 error :'( help me

i've a ibm deskstar 40gb... but also report me the 07 error with 10gb original stock seagate

You mean you get an error 7 code with the original HDD and the original cable as well? Are you sure you connected everything properly and didn't miss anything? Double check you connected everything properly (DVD power and IDE, HDD power and IDE).
I've got a 40GB hard drive with a 80 wires cable from my PC mobo, and it works fine.

For info:

6 - kernel - Cannot unlock HDD
7 - kernel - HDD timeout

ok, now i've enter on x3 bios and i've formatted the 10g seagate, after have installed xbmc and now work (with 40cable) on pc mobo i've a black asus 80pin cable, so can work?
